The Martins Ferry Chamber of Commerce is comprised of business people, City officials, school officials, clubs, organizations and individuals who care about Martins Ferry. Martins Ferry is the largest city in Belmont County and is the oldest settlement in the State of Ohio. The Chamber of Commerce was established in 1901. The Chamber's Mission Statement is as follows:
"To improve our strong business environment through the retention, expansion, recruitment and
creation of businesses to enhance the quality of life in the areas we serve."
The Chamber office is located at 108 S. Zane Highway, Martins Ferry, OH 43935. We can be contacted by telephone at 740-633-2565, by fax at 740-633-2641 and email at mfchamber@comcast.net. The emphasis of our site is to publish information about Martins Ferry and the surrounding area.
Of course, we have information about the Chamber, membership and what the Chamber does. Our yearly dues schedule is as follows:
$85 for business membership; $80 each for two or more business memberships and $50 for clubs, organizations and individuals. They are due by December 31 for the following year. The Board of Directors meets the third Tuesday of each month at noon usually in the Dining Room at the Rec Center. The meetings are open to all Chamber members, businesses and citizens of Martins Ferry. We offer a light lunch for $7.00 Please call ahead to make your reservation to attend.
The Chamber has two paid staff members: Dorothy Powell, Executive Director and Marian Klier, Secretary. The Chamber's Officers for 2017 are: Sherry Stratton (Ohio Valley Cruise Planners) - President; Joe Czuchran (Deluxe Doors) - Treasurer. Our Board of Directors is as follows: Randy Greenwood (The Citizens Bank), Paul Stecker (Stecker Law Group, Inc.), Dan Stephens (State Farm Insurance), Bob Zilai (Z's Jewelry), Jodi Harkness (PNC Bank), Connie Jacob (Jacob & Sons Quality Meats), Sherry Stratton (Ohio Valley Cruise Planners), Jeff Thrash (Ohio Valley Lending/Sun Video), Darren Emfield (Zontini's Pizza), Steve Hancock (Sheet Metal Workers' Local Union #33), Nicole Stephens (ValleyWide Insurance), and (Kim Strauss (Steel Insurance Agency).

For the Community the Chamber offers: The Meet the Ohio Valley Booklet which is published by The Times Leader which lists places of interest, history, churches, schools and recreational facitlities in the local area, as well as, City administrations, directory of businesses, clubs and organizations. We also do UPS shipping, maintain tourist information, belong to the Better Business Bureau, operate a defensive (remedial) driving class, host the Fourth of July Celebration (Skyshow), host the Academic Awards Banquet, maintain the Industrial Park Sign, provide the downtown Christmas decorations.
For Chamber members we are a member of CompManagement Inc. to provide cost control services in the area of workers' compensation and Air Evac Lifeteam offers an affinity discount plan for the owners of businesses.
